One method is to get a carry all for the 3ph. Stack firewood on inexpensive wood pallets and shrink wrap the bundles. The carry all forks will go right in like pallet forks. This way you can move your pallets all around when you need to, bring them to the house one at a time. If you also get FEL bucket forks, you could also even stack them two high if you don't make them too heavy (you'd need rear ballast when doing this).

SW - I reached up with my finger and was gonna press the red button, but my hand started shaking . . . . Hit the shed for some scrap instead:

I thought it might have been some sort of reset button, so I pressed it and 40 cents in change fell on the floor. Whadya know, it's a coin return.

... By the way, thought I knew every square inch of this tractor but found this under the toplink mount today - any takers?

Dave,
Thanks for all the great project posts.

For bx25 this is:
k2561-3633-0 breather
k2561-3635-0 bushing
mounted on 3pt hitch cylinder access cover.

BXN, Thanks - just passin it on . . . most of my projects originated here from other ideas. No place I'd rather be than in the Monster Garage (although trying to reel in 200lb bluefin tuna on a spinning rod comes in a close second)

Thanks RMAN, excellent idea on being able to drop the carrier - I will build the subframe like a fork setup with a couple pins to lock the carrier portion in place and will go tall also vs deep as the woods are pretty tight here. By the way, thought I knew every square inch of this tractor but found this under the toplink mount today - any takers?

Dave

no problem. FYI I built my firewood carrier around my harbor frieght quick hitch so when its loaded, I can back up to it and lift and swing locking arms down and GO! Same with dropping it off. One thing I learned the hard way is that the carrier needs to be at least 2 inches higher then lowest point of 3 pt. Reason is the weight of the wood does funny things to metal and I couldn't drop and go. I had to cut and reweld the 3 pt connections on carrier.

As for the red button, don't quote me on it but I believe its a overflow vent for hydro. I have same "button" and its not pressable, but the red portion is spinable. ;)

RMAN - have to thank you again - I am in Chatham Ma for the last couple days and the next week for work (120m round trip = dangerous amount of time to plan monster garage projects) - am glad I went with your subframe idea with a detachable carrier. Could add all kinds of stuff to it like a back blade or even . . . . . . . . .. . . another ladder :confused2:
