Has Sawzall vs reciprocating saw been mentioned? Sawzall is a Milwaukee tool, DeWalt , Ryobi and all the rest make reciprocating saws.

Also...Formica, Kleenex, Crescent wrench, Skill Saw, Channel Locks, weed eater, ...The list goes on...

I'll always call it a magazine.

Depends. Some use clips, like the M1 Garand(specifically an en bloc clip).

A magazine is not necessarily detachable (i.e., tubular magazine)...a clip always is IMO...

Call it what you want. If “Clip” was good enough for Savage Arms 30 years ago then it’s good enough for me now.

Not applicable here, but too many times I hear people splitting hairs about the term just so that they can feel superior.

For years I sliced, diced and butchered the word "slough" wondering why they put it behind a few signs naming rivers entering lakes in particular. Finally after 40 yrs my dad finally corrected me with proper pronunciation, still laugh and occasionally joke about it.
