Just curious as I have a 955 with loader we are going to sent to an auction next month and I have a fellow with a 755 that wants to trade it in. I haven't seen it yet but he says it's as straight as our 955 with a loader and belly mower. What does he want for the tractor? With a serial number we could possibly check the vintage for you.

I contacted the seller and he got the serial number and a little history from the dealership that sold it. The number is M00755c430020 and it was build in 1986, sold to the dealer in Dec 1986 and sold to the first owner in Dec 1987.

I have an 855 which is essentially the same as a 755 but has more power. I bought it used and I am very pleased with it. From your pictures, I would check the alignment of the grill and the hood. It looks like something is offset to one side. Also, it looks like the bottom of the grill is stained. In my tractor the battery is behind the grill. I'd check to see that there is not acid damage to the grill, radiator, and frame. I have the 52 loader and it works fine. I believe the previous poster is correct in that the 70 loader replaced the 52 and that the tractor is 80s vintage not 90s. The seat appears to be at a funny angle (like you would slide off) but maybe it is just a very strong spring for the safety switch that is under it.

Crank it and let it run for about 30 minutes. Then check for oil leaks.
Make sure the 3 point lift works as it should. Put a load on the FEL and see what happens. Make sure to test the pto. See if it grinds when it is engaged.

Good luck!

It looks like it's been used hard. I'm not familiar with that loader, but it doesn't look like it quickly removes from the tractor like my 70 does. That may matter.

On the 755, the battery is just forward of the instrument panel, and the fuel fill is just behind the grill. Those might be fuel stains, but the grill looks kinda beat for the hours.

The seat angle looks just like mine. I don't slide off, and neither does my barn cat who gets way more seat time than me!

The stains are probably from refueling spillage (the fill cap and tank are located by that grill. The battery on the the 755 is behind the instrument panel, as mentioned by someone else here.

If I recall correctly, the dealer offered me around $4000 on trade for my 1993 755. I decided to keep it to get under trees and mowing in the ditch, two things not easily done with my 3720. My mower deck is begiining to rust through but it still mows properly. I've replaced some of the mower deck wheels due to wear and tear. My ignition key switch corroded and I replaced it. Battery replacement and tire repairs are normal maintenance items. I have it serviced at the dealer which helps, I think, to keeping it running.
