My question is ; what kind of "warm up" time are you seeing until the hydro is working "right" ?(ie: loader, steering and 3 pt.)
My temps are 0 - 10 degrees at start up. with conventional (not syn.) hydro oil.
Seems after 15 - 20 min warm up my hydralics are still slow and jerky .
Does this seem about right for those that can compare ?
I don't think it seemed as bad last winter....
Thanks, GrayBeard

That doesn't sound right to me. Slow is ok, but jerky and not seeming as bad last winter? Just for fun, try lifting the bucket all the way up and curling it all the way down. I think that's a way to purge air. How's it act on warm days??

Warm weather it's fine.
Last yr. the hydro was slow but I didn't notice the jerkyness.
Fluid level seems ok.
Thanks.

Update:
I had the tractor into the Dlr. for some other work and told him about the cold hydro. problem.
The machine was in his heated shop all nite and still did the "jerking / slow" operation thing with the loader.
He changed the fluid and filters and the problem went away.
I asked about potential damage and he said he didn't think anything would be hurt.
The filters were changed at the first 16hrs on the tractor and I now have about 120 hrs. The manual states to chg. fluid and filters at 150 hr. intervals after the initial change.
'Guess I'll have to do it sooner...
Just thought I'd pass it along.
