Hi all

Lots of people dont like coffee as the have never had a real coffee made by a professional barista.
Much American coffee is also known to be very bad. :)
I'm told its slowly improving.

I didn't start drinking coffee until I was 24 years old, and then probably only one or two cups a day for the next 8 or 10 years, but then when I had an office job, I kept a cup of coffee on the desk all day until after 5 p.m. And now, I'm on my second cup this morning. I'll be sipping coffee unti nearly noon when I'll change to cold drinks, the colder the better. I'll keep a big glass of ice water handy until I go to bed.

On the other hand, my bride of 47+ years was drinking coffee from the time she gets up in the morning until she goes back to bed at night when I met her and she still does. Sometimes one 10 cup pot is enough for the day, but usually it's two 10 cup pots made here. We don't leave the house without a travel cup of coffee in the car or truck.

We use the cheapest coffee we can buy, Master Chef from Walmart, because it seems just as good as the more expensive ones we've tried. But if I could make a cup of coffee that tasted like the coffee Braniff Airlines served on their planes before they went under, I'd be willing to pay 2 or 3 times as much for it.

I have to agree with TripleR, the taste of coffee is horrible. Oh I have tried to like it, but it upsets my stomach and nothing tastes right the rest of the day.

I would love to like cold sweet tea.....but @ 50 years old it hasn't happened yet, don't expect it ever will.

Used to partake in some beer drinking back in the day, but that's long ago in my past.

So - my caffeine fix - DIET COKE. Nice ice cold diet coke. I will nurse a one liter bottle till lunch, then have a couple of 20 oz bottles in the afternoon. Then I switch to ice water.

Try to only drink from the bottles. If it gets hot, pop it back into the fridge and grab another. Nothing better than diet coke - ice cold.

A individual I was in service with would have a drink of Habu Sake while the rest of us were drinking coffee. Never been one to drink alcoholic beverages so I could not quite get my mind to accept how someone could drink something like Sake in the morning.

I drank coffee off and on until a few years ago when my kids got me a Kuerig single cup brewer. Now I have one in the morning and often one in the mid afternoon. As for iced tea, I'm a North Carolina boy and down there tea is not a drink, it's a religion, I'm very religious about tea!:D

I'm just the opposite. I've tried a number of different "diet" sodas and never tasted one that wasn't terrible. I wouldn't drink them if they were free.

Love an ice cold diet coke, or beer or ice tea, or lemonade, or ? Not super picky, I believe most things in moderation r ok...my beverage of choice is usually dictated by time of day and with what I'm doing at the moment, right at this moment, 0730, coffee ! :licking:

I was a reporter years ago and the weird schedule dictated an addiction to coffee. I still have it. I have two mugs each morning and, usually, an expresso drink when I go to town a coupla times each week. I know people who love coffee, hate coffee, or love some coffees and hate others. It is a taste thing. I tolerate a diet Coke sometimes, but cannot stand regular soft drinks. Green tea is good, and the water from my 400 foot well is great.

Fortunately my wife shares my tastes, but I am delighted some folks don't like coffee. It helps hold down the costs for those who do.

I cannot imagine habusaki in the morning! I can't drink it period, I bought a bottle as a souvenir when I was in Japan a while back-7 yrs later it's still sitting in the liquor cabinet unopened.
