Coal ash disposal, What to do with it?

/ Coal ash disposal, What to do with it? #11
I'm an environmental engineer. Coal ash can contain PAHs (polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons) along with the heavy metals and acidic conditions. The risk to human health from PAHs is primarily ingestion (ie, such as kids breathing in dust, etc).

The solution...bury it with about 2 feet of clean soil and leave it buried. Also, keep it away from your wells and definitely do not bury it in your garden areas.

Hope this helps,
Dan

Since your digging it up, your gonna need some dirt to fill up the hole again.

Pick a spot that your positive you will never need to dig again and start another hole there.

This reminds me of something they called "training" in the Marine Corps. hahaha

Thanks for all the ideas guys. I am not digging this out of the ground. it was dumped for many years at the end of the driveway which is 10 feet above the level of the back yard. I guess the best solution for this pile is to move it to the back of the property and bury it.
