CLUTCH STUCK

THIS SUMMER WE HAD LOTS OF "HUMIDITY" AND MY CLUTCH IS STUCK --- WON'T RELEASE. IT IS A FORD 3000. I'VE TRIED DRIVING AND BRAKING / I CHAINED IT TO A TREE --- JUST DUG HOLES. ALL THIS TRYING TO GET IT BROKE LOOSE. NOTHING WORKS. ANY OTHER IDEAS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THERE IS A SMALL "INSPECTION PLATE (I'LL CALL IT THAT) CENTERED UNDER THE MOTOR / TRANNY. COULD I GET TO THE CLUTCH PLATE TO PRY IT LOOSE THRU THERE ??

When you were driving, etc. did you either hold down or pump the clutch pedal? Rapid pumping of the clutch while steadily applying the brake worked on late FIL's Farmall a few years ago. Only stuck clutch I've run into, and it sat for 3 or 4 years before I had to mess with it.

Block the clutch in now. Run it around tomorrow and do some kinda work to warm it up good with the clutch out [dont want to overuse the throwout bearing]. ... Then let it sit with the clutch blocked in and cool. Then try your methods to break it loose. I ran my jd into a tree once ... worked great. If it doesnt break free, warm it again and try it hot. Might want to try a reverse jerk as well as forward if you have another tractor to jerk it. Be careful.
