I have a Mahindra 6520 with about 980 hours; it is almost 10 years old. The clutch has started to slip in high range when pulling substantially. Have not noticed that it slips in low or mid-range. Is there a fix available without changing the clutch? It does not appear like there is a problem in the clutch linkage, that is, you have to push the clutch pedal about all the way in to disengage the clutch. Any of you have experience: what are we looking at to have a dealer change the clutch, $1500? Thanks for any advice.

Is your clutch pedal play adjusted to about 1" of pedal freeplay?

Thanks for responding, Lawalls Tractor. I was mistaken when I had concluded that the problem is not in the pedal adjustment. I was going by the fact that it seemed the clutch had to be pushed in all the way to avoid grinding when using the forward and reverse shuttle. I looked into it since I posted the question and found that there was almost no free play. I adjusted the little rod so there is at least an inch of free movement. After that I could not make the clutch slip. To adjust the linkage rod I took up the rubber mat and the floor platform section on the left, which made it easy to get to. I was thinking I might have to somehow remove the rod to adjust, but found that Mahindra has a real simple way to adjust, with the rod threaded oppositely at each end; you just loosen the locknut and turn the rod. I'm thankful that it was a simple fix.
