I have a 2000 Cub Cadet 7260 with 550 hrs. that I bought used with the manual transmission which has a problem with the 2 stage clutch. The tractor drives okay in low or mid range but if you put it in high range and let out the clutch it either will barely move or not move at all if on an incline. Also if you depress the clutch pedal and try to engage the PTO it just grinds so it seems the clutch/pressure plate is not functioning properly. I have adjusted the pedal travel according to the manual.
I would appreciate it if anyone has any pointers or has been through this. My brother works on heavy equipment so we are probably going to pull it apart in his shop. I would also appreciate any suggestions for a place to order the parts once we see what we need. Thanks
