I have a Branson 2910i, I just finished some work. I parked the tractor and put it in neutral. When I released the clutch pedal it only came out about an inch or so and seemed to hit a hard stop. I can push down the pedal and when I release foot pressure the pedal does start to come up - but hits the hard stop.

The main gear shift lever seems to be functioning. The shuttle lever seems to be functioning.

I moved to secondary gearshift from "2" to "1" but now it will not move back.

Any ideas on what might be the problem?

Thanks

OK - found the problem. Spring had broken, fallen down and was blocking the clutch pedal from fully releasing. Everything is now working - clutch and gearshifts.

So, now my questions are - since the clutch is working properly does that mean there are two return springs? I have a service manual and it only shows one. The pedal actually pretty much feels just as it did before this happened. Is there another spring up there other than the clutch return spring?

Thanks.

My 3820i has two springs side by side and I had to replace one in 9 years. That's the only part on the tractor that I have had to replace. Awesome tractor, and I work my tractor, It's not a toy to dress up my garage.

Can it be done by just reaching under the "dash" or do you have to remove the dash?

I believe I did mine without removing the shrouding, but not certain.
