mine is gone and now it the time it has to be replaced. My question is it better to buy the whole clutch assembly or should I buy the components and rebuild the clutch pack? I can do some mechanic work. thanks in advance for the advice.

Either way is good, as long as you have the tools to do the job. buying the whole pack is easier, but you still have to set it up on the bench before you install it, so I'd probably go with the parts and build it as I go. You call.

I agree, buy a whole new clutchpack - to include throwout and pilot bearings. You can then rebuild the take-off in your leisure time, consider it a shop spare. But by no means assume that a clutchpack is ready to install right out of the box. It requires a fre adjustments on the bench before installation. If you buy from Tommy, perhaps for a small fee he can pre-adjust it before shipping
