I have the hydraulic shuttle in my 5700 and love it.The wet clutch system is a little more money but well worth it in my opinion.The wet clutch should way out last a dry one.My wife gets on the tractor to do some mowing and all I have to do is put in the right gear and she never has to use a clutch.I also had the creeper gears installed in mine as I do some snow blowing and that is a great feature also.I use them much more than I had ever thought I would.

When hydro people talk about a manual transmission tractor you would think that a dry clutch is the only type of clutch that any manual tractor has because they are always going on about the cost of splitting the tractor to replace the clutch. The wet clutch seems to always be over looked. The wet clutch will last a long, long time. They wear nothing like a dry clutch. Many will last as long as the life of the tractor. There are some solenoids and switches but for the most part they are very durable. If there is an option between a dry clutch and a wet, I don't see how there would be real choice. The wet is the only way to go. Most if not all wet clutch tractor have shuttle shift also. There are different name for this type of shuttle such as PowerShuttle, Power Reverser, Hydraulic Shuttle etc. With any of these, you don't have to clutch to start, stop, or change forward to reverse directions in most cases. Some tractors that have wet clutches also have power shift so that you don't have to clutch when shifting gears. Power Shift also has different names applied to it such as DynaQPS and others.
