I have an 84' Wheelhorse Workhorse LT1100 that i use for everything. Anyway, when you depress the clutch, Nothing happens unless you are in 3rd gear. I looked under there, and figure when you hit the clutch, a pulley retracts and takes the tension off the drive belt. So where do i go from here?

Also, the end of the crankshaft is damaged pretty badly. I cant get anything into the groove for the belt pulley to keep them (the crank and the pulley)turning together, and not the pulley just sitting there while the crank goes round and round. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Lanse is this a vertical engined machine?. If it is, it sounds like you damaged the stack pulley when hitting something. Please let us know whether it's a vertical or horizontal drive.

The piston goes horizontally, the crank is verticle.
