I purchased my Gatormade trailer back in January. It is a 16+2. There was an issue with its weight rating. It was listed as 14k, in reality it is a 7k trailer. I knew that buying it, but I did talk to Gator and got the correct title for it. Mine is painted very thorough, but with some weld splatter in various places. They did use butt connectors to connect the battery box. I had to replace the battery because when I picked it up the dealer's telereach slid on the ice and cause the trailer to jackknife and his forks broke the battery box. I put weather sealed connectors on it when I replaced it (Gator sent a new breakaway kit - it didn't hurt the battery, so I now I've got a spare battery and an extra breakaway switch). When I talked to Gator they said this a "special" trailer they build. It is essentially their 10k lb trailer with 7k lb axles. Not sure why they do it, but it is very heavy built for a 7k lb trailer.
Anyway, where I was heading with this. My trailer has brakes on both axles, removable fenders, rear slide in ramps, and all LED lights including the 3 light bar on the back. All of the light wires are in a large sealed line with a special weather proof connector to come back forward to pick up the battery with another wire to go back to the brakes. All of my wires once they get to the back go inside the frame before they split out. I haven't taken any of the lights out yet to see how they sliced them in.
