I was in my woodlot picking up loads of firewood logs and while backing up and watching behind to avoid hitting a tree with my chipper, I swung too close to another tree in front and hooked the logs behind the tree. When I attempted to maneuver out of there, the he left front wheel bumped against a large rock and just like that it knocked the tire off the bead! Long story short after managing to remove the tire, I got it back to my shop and miraculously was able to air it back up. I expected to have to take it somewhere for repair but I was lucky and living right for a change. Returned to the tractor and soon was operating again.

I’ve found adding tubes increases reliability and minimizes problems…

Problem is finding quality tubes these days…

That’s usually my go to move to fix a leaking tire but the bad part is the next flat is usually flat for good. Rarely can you air up a tube and continue work.

Glad no $$'s spent for repairs/damage.
Hope blackflies are showing you mercy for they aren't down here.

Isn't that the truth. The last one I bought for the Ford cost more than the rear tire I bought for the Kenbota.
If I'm buying rubber tires/tubes, I look for USA made then Vietnam, Korea and Thailand in that order. They don't know how to make rubber in China.

Good you got off get easy. You could have bent the valve stem over or your tire pressure could have been low. Both have gotten me. Now I keep the pressure up and have valve stem protection.

gg, I was lucky today. A combination of heavy load out front, low tire pressure and trying to turn the wheel while the tractor is not moving while up against a large rock. A perfect storm of conditions! The hardest part was loading the wheel into my truck. 320/24 tires are heavy.
