clogged fuel lines on 4020

Is that the line that attaches to the top of the fuel tank?

Parts key #4 is the return line and PARTS KEY # 29 is the fitting with the possible plugged check valve[/QUOTE]

How do you remove air from the injector? Is the screw or valve one of the listed numbers on the diagram you attached? I have attached a picture of my injector pump in case its different from the diagram.

First loosen line at parts key #30 and purge air.If tractor still won't start then loosen inj. lines at the injectors> CAUTION: Keep fingers(skin) away from spraying diesel. Spin engine over until air free fuel is coming out of lines,tighten lines and start engine.

The problem was debris in the check valve on the injector pump. I cleaned it out and put it back in and it ran fine for a few minutes then lost a little power. Took it out and cleaned it at least 15 times and it had debris in it each time. So, how do I clean that debris out of the line? I ran the tractor with the return line disconnected from the check valve thinking fuel returning from the injectors would flow out, but no fuel came from the fuel line, fuel came out the hole where the check valve goes.

Just remove fitting then remove the check ball from the fitting and replace fitting. Many tractors with the same problem have been run many hrs that way. Sometime in the future the inj pump will require the drive ring replaced.
