Hey all,

When I "click" on an in-post picture to view larger..it works great....until I hit the "back" button on my browser (firefox) to get back to the thread.

I'm then "placed" back at the top/1st post of the thread...no matter where in the thread, I was reading/looking at a pic. Pretty much consistently since joining the site recently.

Any help/explanation is appreciated.

It has always worked that way for me too. I have no explanation.

Thanks James, at least I know it's not just me. Misery loves company and all.

I'm on an older version, 6.0.1. It doesn't work that way for me. I'm taken to the newest unread post, at least I think so.

Gracias, Inspector. Wonder what to make of that?

Mine doesn't do that.

Thanks T/R...maybe it's a "newb weeding out process" that you guys aren't telling me about.

I've been a member of numerous forums since '99 (mostly all carpentry/woodworking) over the years, so I'm not a newb to forums, but this one has been doing some very odd stuff over the last few days.

I'm aware that some changes are currently being made, but still...

Yep, it is a clever initiation process.

I am using Firefox on a Dell laptop with XP and desktop with Vista.

Thanks for responding again. I'm pretty much current on all 'puter schtuff, but this site is making me a bit whacko with the odd goings ons.

Great site, with lots of great info/posters, so I'll stick it out.

My other thread on this part of the forum, in regards to first "clicking" on a thread, and then being sent to whatever post/page in that thread is still a bit "X-File-ish" though.

You may be on to something.

My first computer was an Apple IIc with no hard drive. I learned from there and was glad I did as we started using them at work and I didn't have the learning curve others of my generation experienced. I use to be interested in computers, but now I just keep up with enough to get by.

Out of curiosity, I just checked this thread and viewed pictures; when I hit the back button, I went to the post with the pictures.

I'm no computer expert, but I have a fairly decent rig for doing CAD drawings for carpentry/remodeling stuff, etc.

Now don't take this the wrong way, 'cause it's meant in the right way...the Apple talk ... my Dad had the same stuff, early adopter, at that time, so it's fun to read/hear about that.

I'm 45 at this point (Dad's 66) as a point of reference.

I appreciate the posts, thanks.
