We flagged the trees we wanted to keep, and it really improved the lot. Gave the horses some natural shade as well.
Fish I think this is a job for the soil stabilizer
I thought about it until I realized it was only 5 acres. That would make for awesome pasture and no depressions.
So.... What is the soil stabilizer?
Just curious...

It will mulch stumps, slash, rocks, you name it 18" deep and mix the mulch with the topsoil. It's like a tiller behind a tractor that eats everything.
If you are concerned with burning just keep your pile small, but keep adding to it as it burns down. Start out with a pile you are comfortable with and keep it the same size by adding to it as it burns. Keep a watch in the surrounding brush even what you think is too far away. Those embers can travel. Always have water available. If your water hose won't reach you can pick up one of those used 350 gallon tanks on a pallet and in a metal cage for $30 - $50. A 12v pump for about $50. It will put out about 8 gpm.
Where can I get one? Will my 50hp pull it? My neighbor has a 65 HP tractor (2wd) will that pull it?
I assume it is expensive, but between my neighbor and I, we are currently signed up for a total of close to $5000 to only get the slash and stumps ground to flush with the dirt.
Where can I get one of these 350 gal tanks/etc? I would buy it almost immediately!
Thanks in advance,
David
I think this is what Fish is talking about, or the same concept at least.

They are usually 300- 500 HP, so your tractor tractor couldn't handle one.
Also i see those tanks for sale on craigslist and ebay all the time. try searching palletized water tank..
Good luck!
