I watched episode 1 today. Made it halfway and quit. Seems ridiculous to me and obviously scripted.

Some parts, the sheep part when he went to say good bye wasn’t. Dude legitimately looked like he was gonna loose it and put the brave face on for the camera.

All of these "reality" shows are scripted to some extent. However, I think there are limits to how much you can script Clarkson, which is why he is on Amazon and no longer on BBC. I'm enjoying it.

We enjoyed the heck out of the show. I was surprised that someone with so much experience driving cars was utterly incapable of backing up a trailer.

I've only watched the first 2 episodes so far and it is astonishing how much money he has lost already.

I wonder how much the Lamborghini tractor was?

Bought used with 5700 hours he paid £40,000 or about $50,000.

Is not ideal for his fields but it doesn't seem to be a bad deal. Clarkson regularly destroyed more than $50,000 in an hour of Top Gear and what I have seen so far, the tractor still runs. And it is a perfect fit for Clarkson's TV persona.

Ok, talked me into it. I usually loathe "reality" tv shows, but i'll give this one a try.

I need to watch it again, I think I'm at season 1, episode 3. Funny, and loosely scripted I'm sure ... that is how they try to ensure a viewing audience, and gain another season .

Just finished it up last night. Loved it. Despite the F bombs the wife loved it too.
