I stopped by the local CC dealer the other day to pickup maintenance items and they had a new Cub Cadet Yanmar SC2450 on the showroom floor. Looking at the CL100 loader it was sporting it appears that CC has made some improvements. All of the grease fittings have been moved where they are easier to service. I also noticed that they have changed to cast pieces on the pivot point ends of the boom. Were there issues with the first generation boxed steel on the pivot points?

I purchased an SC2400 last February and really like it. It is a handy little tractor and I don't see how I managed to get along with out a loader tractor for so long. It is easy on fuel. The maintenance points are all easy to access. The only things I would change so far would be to add a small toolbox to the back to hold pins and some hand tools. Springs for the seat instead of the rubber bumpers for a better ride when mowing and a temp gauge instead of the dummy lights.

One thing I would like to see on the CL100 is to go to a two cylinder design like just about every other manufacture has done.

That Large Single Cylinder design has been flawless. I hope they never change it!
