Been driving all over the North country this week looking at 25-30HP CUT's.

I decided to take a test ride on a CK30HST with a FEL....my first ride on a tractor in over 30 years and I loved every moment.

I did notice some forward creeping motion when I took my foot off the pedal. Is this normal or something that can be adjusted by the dealer. The dealer just said it was a minor adjustment but I feel the need to ask just the same.

Almost decision time! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Mine does it ocassionally (in both directions) but it is easy to stop by lightly pressing on the pedal in the opposite direction of the creep. It has been absolutely no problem.

Mine only does that when it is in High range, not in Middle or low. That is usually the only time I use the brake pedal as well.

I have nearly 70 hours of fun on mine, and it works remarkably!

My ck30hst does the same thing, It can be a little annoying in close quarters. It does seem to be somewhat intermittent as well. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It's most likely the pedal not returning to center, a little lube or adjustment should solve it.

FYI, generally, if one follows the track from the pedal to where it goes into the tranmission, you can lube the main sites with spray lithium grease to solve this problem. I have had it happen on my CK20HST as have others, but the lube has always taken care of it.
I usually do it with every 50 hours of service or as needed.
It can be dangerous to allow this to continue, as someone said, "In close quarters."
Make sure that the grease is well applied to the round part that is right on the side of the case at the end of the linkage from the pedal, making sure to get it into that small round opening.

Where are you guys in NY? I'm in Indian Lake and bought a CK20H from Wallace Tractor, PA on Oct. 28,'05. The machine is marvelous for a small tractor (compact tractor!).
There is a dealer in Schroon Lake, too. In fact he had a very nice used CK20H with 30 hours on it back in October.

Hello, The dealer in Schroon lake is where i bought my Ck30 . Rodicks farm machinery. Hes been a very good dealer for me..Gone way out of his way... I talked with the other dealer mentioned previously which i believe was Moores.. He seemed like a good dealer as well. He was my second choice.. Love the ck30 by the way..

Gyro9401 & HA704: I'm located in Queensbury, NY and have been to the dealer in Granville. He's certainly friendly enough but I'm just not quite sold on the dealership just yet. I love the tractor but it's pretty much a one or two person operation and I'm not real comfortable knowing that. In all fairness to him, I've been able to test drive a couple of his machines...one new & one used. I found out in a hurry that my left knee won't stand up to using a clutch. Yeah, it's tough to get old...so I need to look for a hydro unit for sure.
I'm about 36 miles South of Schroon Lake so I may take a ride North this morning to see what's on their lot and to see what the service dept looks like.
Thanks for the tip on the Schroon Lake dealer.

Rick,
I'd buy it from you (if I had any money left) just so you could say "I told you so". You took all my money last month /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Have a happy New Year /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Rick,

If I had the money in the budget, I would snatch that tractor off of your hands in a heartbeat. You have one day left - are you gonna be able to sell that beast before the close of business tomorrow? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I hope so and have a very happy New Year!

Gyro.made it to Rodick's in Schroon Lk yesterday. Nice people and they spent a lot of time going over the FEL/BH Kioti vs Woods issues as they see it from their side of the fence. Pricing was comparable if not a tad lower than in Granville. It's getting down to decision time pretty quick...not quick enough for a year end deal though.

Not to get into your business or tell you where to purchase a machine but in answer to your concern about the dealer in Granville, NY. I purchased a CK30HST from them in July 2003. Since that time I have put about 250 hrs on it. There have been a very few issues in that time that needed the dealer's support but when it was needed and it was terrific. In the last one, the loader and 3PTH would lift but only very slowly. This was on a Monday. I called and talked to the dealer and they thought that the pressure setting had somehow changed or failed. On Tuesday the mechanic showed up to check it out at 10:00 AM. He determined that it was the pump. At 2:00 PM the truck arrived to pick it up. After they had a chance to work on it in the shop they ordered a new pump (under warranty) and had it shipped next day air. The tractor was returned to me on Friday. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
This is a very good dealer and certainly stands behind their product and supports their customer. And, as an aside, they have been in business for quite a long time as a Ford Ag tractor dealer before they took on Kioti as their only product line.

Darn, Rick. If I had signed in before today, I could have flown up there and purchased that tractor from you just to help you out!
Sorry, I've been busy and just couldn't get in here for the last few days. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Happy New Year, and I hope you have a great sales year.
John
