Folks,

Thanks for the info. It is good to know that the CK isn't merely a light duty machine. I would think that 600 lbs of brush is a big mouthfull for a grapple and that 10 or 15 loads of brush that big would make a pretty darn big burn pile. I would like to be able to use the tractor to lift pallets of material in the future but I know that I cant lift a one-ton pallet.

I pick up the 10k trailer tonight since I sold my old travel trailer to make room for it. After acquiring the trailer then I will call the dealers to check on availability and final quotes. I don't really want to wait around for a month for the CK, I have a problem with a lack of patience.

So my plan is a 5 foot light to medium duty hog and box blade. Is that the right size implement for this tractor? Work will be in timber going through saplings and such at first and then blackberries and field mowing from then on. Mostly flat with some slope.

I am getting pretty excited now.

Thanks

In response to the kioti lift capacities, my loader is a woods 1012 loader and is rated at just under 1400lbs on the lift and ill say for a fact it will lift in more.Which my dealer actually told me when i bought it. I have 7 ft long by 18 in by 12 in reinforced contcrete slabs all over my property and my kioti ck 30 lifts them easily. If they are probably around 10 - 11 cubic feet and reinforced concrete weighs 155 lbs per cubic foot so theres no smoke in mirrors here.. All your major brand capacities are not totally correct in some areas. For an example i almost bought a b3030 and one of the sights i visited put the kubota up against the Deere and New Holland and by there tests both the Deere and New Holland fell short of their rated capacities. Some brands will lift more then they are rated, perhaps they list those weights for warranty or some other reasons.. Be carefull not to judge what you do not own...

I went with 5' rotary cutter, Southern brand and the Kioti/Midwest 5' BB 20 series. That BB is pretty stout and I beat the **** outa mine with rocks. Oh my goodness, shoulda said hadies I guess.

( . A 1000lb lift does not mean you can lift 1000lbs because its measured from a theoretical point. With a brush grapple on a CK30 you would probably be able to lift about 600lbs of material before the loader would stop. (That's a 30% reduction for moving 20" forward to where the load actually is and subtracting an extra 100lbs for the heavier grapple bucket). )
A pivot pin is not a "theoretical point."
One must also know the "actual" weight of the grapple, not just a guess. I know from what I've lifted with my CK20 that the KL130 would lift more than your statement.

Even 600 lbs is 6 bales of hay or 4 farm girls. If it lifts 600 without a hickup then I can get some serious work done.

Picked up the 10k trailer last night. Sure happy with it. So pretty with the diamond plate fenders.

I am now waiting on the delivery of industrial rear tires to the dealer to go pick up a tractor. Seems that Kioti has a problem with R4s or maybe just really like the R1s.

What? No pic of the new trailer? What are the prices of those trailers up there? They're going for $1300 - $1600 here.
Re: Pallet lifting: Don't forget about your ability to use the 3PH for heavy pallets (maybe not a ton though). I had to make up a set of 3PH forks to lift a heaping fruit bin (4' x 4' x 2') full of oak firewood cuz my poor Baby's FEL forks could only muster half a box. Not as handy as FEL forks but does get work done.

I apologize. I was planning on starting a new thread but it fits good here too. I shopped for price, features, and quality like with everything else and I came up with this PJ. The next level in cheapness is a big drop in quality to the site manufactured ones. This one was 3100$ plus lal the jive eneded up less than 3500$ OTD. I really like it.

and another. The lights are recessed sealed units and the ramps slide out from under on the side. I need a WD hitch before I can haul the thing loaded.

Sweet.

I didn't get a trailer. Best excuse for not letting my buddies borrow my CK20 /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
