DOH!

When I read your other reply, it just didn't come across that way to me. Wouldn't it be neat if somehow we could make our typed words look the way we want them to sound!?

Sorry Gerard!

No problem. I often think of what you stated in your above statement. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

P.S. You even spelled my name right. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My Kioti safely arrived Apr 21st at its new home in Hawaii. No apparent damge although I didn't unload it. Unfortunately, that won't happen until my next trip in August.

I don't remember if you said, but is someone watching out for it for you? How did you find out there was no delivered damage?
Just curious. I'm glad to hear it though. I know you'll be excited to get over there and start using it.

Hi all,
I am new to the form, but live on Maui and am looking to buy a kioti soon. Like most things on Maui, it expensive. I was wondering what it cost you to ship it to Hawaii? and the which island? There is a Kioti dealer on the island and seems respectable and all, but want to keep my options open.

thanks for any help.

Thanks John

Operative word = "apparent" As I did not unload, I could only do a visual check. From what I could see, nothing had shifted in any major way - even some smaller items put in at last moment were stilll in place.
Basically, the loaded container is sitting out very openly in 20 acre fenced pasture in clear view of my neighbors. The pasturing cows are owned by another neighbor who is also a county cop.

Aloha from the Big Island Joe

I have detailed the container costs at Container

I have no idea as to Kioti costs on Maui. I did price a Kubota L3130 from Hilo dealer /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I could have bought same Kioti package I did and added a CK20 for a spare. Unfortunately, I don't have a 2 tractor budget.
Additional factors in my decision:
1. I knew I'd ship a container loaded with other items.
2. I planned for permanent use of the container as a part of my tractor/utility shed.
Feel free to PM or email me if you have other questions that might be of lesser interest to forum.

David, you said on your container site:
( household items that will not be unpacked until the house is finished and of curse, my new tractor and all the attachments. )
Maybe you should change this to course or someone may think you don't like your CK30!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

thanks for the help. Right now i am looking at at either a ck20 or ck30 hst. with loader and backhoe its 23k for the ck20 or 29k for the ck30. At first I was set on the ck20, but after seeing the 30 I was like, I could use this. my situration is i only have 3.8 acres, with about 2.5 that will be worked. However, this area is got lots of trees to removed. also the property is terraced with loi (taro) patches. the patchs have been there for hundreds of years, so they have been registed as a historic site. I need to carefully get in and remove the trees without damaging the walls. The ck30 will be better for the job, but the ck20 would be better after I am done. so still deciding on whether to go big now or just make due with the ck20.

sorry for the long story. any advise would help. I want to buy local if I can, but not sure how these prices compare with the mainland plus shipping.

CK30 HST's run around 15K with a FEL, give or take a few hundred. Seems like the 20 was around 12K.
