I bought my CK2620 last winter and knew it was going to be shy on the HP I needed. Why didn't I just buy a CK4020?? The biggest reason is I didn't want a computer controlled tractor. I like the idea of having a tractor I can work on without taking it to the dealer every time it has a hiccup for them to connect it to a computer to tell me I have a bad sensor or two and 10 to 15 yrs from now they no longer service that model then your stuck with buying a new tractor. Second I knew this 100.5 ci engine had a lot more in it. Third it's the same frame as the 40hp engine and $6,000 less. This past weekend I turned up the global fuel screw beside the fuel cutoff solenoid and advanced the injection timing. Today I hooked up my 60" tiller and couldn't hardly tell it was even back there. Before it constantly stalled the tractor. Huge difference. I am betting it's sitting at 40 PTO shaft HP which is 44.35 engine HP. 4 to 5 parasitic drag loss between the engine and PTO shaft. I am looking around for a dyno to confirm my thoughts. I will report back.
