I followed this advice when I bought my first tractor. And I found it was too big, to the point of being clumsy. I later traded to a slightly smaller tractor and was able to work faster due to a smaller turning radius.

Do your best to size the tractor to your needs. Too small is bad, but too big is also bad. Imagine mowing a 1-acre pasture with a 300hp tillage tractor.
Good point, Depending on what you are doing a tractor can be too big. I plant ginseng on the north side of a mountain in PA. The new ck10 Im ordering would be too big to wind in and out of all the trees and rocks with my roto tiller. I use my power trac for that. Being small and articulated with the implements in the front its perfect size for that. My ck10 is going to be used for mowing flat ground and driveway repair.
