Comparison CK2510HST vs LS XJ2025H

Oh, I set a budget of $20K for a tractor with FEL, BH and box blade. I really liked the Kubota B series with more HP and a 3 speed but I had 3 quotes and all were in the $30K range. The CK3510H was around $26K if I remember.

I turned about 170 on mine today doing some dirt/gravel work. I like the hst pedal too. As for the step on the right side, i think it is a touch too crowded to get on/off that side. I wound up just going with it and installing my tool box there.

So far my only complaint would be no ssqa, and not much room to add a diverter valve and hydro hoses. But that could be in part my fault for putting a chain tube on the loader frame right there.

When I was shopping, I looked at the Kubota B2320, I liked the 3 speed trans and the way the backhoe mounted up tight.
But the anemic FEL with a capacity of 772# AT THE PINS (Verses the CK20's 1075# at the pins) killed my thoughts of The Kubota.
And the fact that the Kubota was about 4000.00 $ more.

The 2510 is an update to the CK20 as I recall. I loved my CK20 except for a few things. Seat was uncomfortable (almost sure they have changed that). Transmission was two range (same) and the "tool box" was stupid small. I also did not love the treadle but got used to it. I have the two pedal system on the DK which I prefer. It served me well for several years until I decided to upgrade to the DK40se. I still miss the CK20 for work around the house and in tight spaces. It was trouble free and a real workhorse.

Bottom line for me in your quandary is that you are probably suffering a bit of buyers remorse as we all have after a big purchase. Stick with the 2510, it will serve you well.

Dealer should have had the lines up higher in the first place IMO.
Why would anyone mounting a loader leave the hydraulic lines dangling down like that at the dealership ???

I think they all come like that, mine included. I still have to figure how to make them ride higher.

I had the dealer weld 3/8 grab hooks on the buckets. And I made a counterweight of 650# which is sufficient and more compact for snow and FEL work. I also went with the Piranha tooth bar and it is good. Now I want to make a thumb for the BH.

DSCN1264.jpg These are two terraces I just finished repairing. The one the tractor is parked on will be paved for parking and the other one (I just finished filling in last night) will be a patio with large flat blue stone. I just have to remove the excess dirt and lay the stone.

No doubt about the step on the right side! I want to weld a larger pedal on the rear diff lock also. The filter gets in the way of my big boots.

Even w/ the lighter overall weight, the LS has almost 20% more lift capabilities over the Kioti. Just remember, it is very easy to add overall weight but, impossible to add lift weight. Filling the tires on the LS will add over 300lbs. alone. The XJ FEL is 200lbs heavier than the CK FEL also. LS has a 5 year warranty -KIOTI has 4 year warranty.
View attachment 439155Seems to be a tough choice for more than me. It came down to weight, power and convienience. The Kioti has a treadle peddle which I don't like. I prefer the LS two pedal system. MUCH easier. The Kioti has a much higher hydro fluid pump rate and about another 600lbs on the ground for earth moving. The Kioti also cost about $1.5K more. I bought the Kioti and am really re-considering my choice. The Hydraulic lines to the loader are horrible on the Kioti! I had to loosen them all and get them higher up. Snag potential is stupid.Tied them to the loader bracket so it's all good now but ****. It's a great machine but I'm not sure with the extra weight and warranty if it really beats the LS. You really need to sit on both! View attachment 439152View attachment 439153View attachment 439154View attachment 439155

Comparing specs, the Kioti CK2610hst seems quite a bit more impressive than the 2510. I haven't been Kioti shopping for a while but in the past there were always seemingly arbitrary price points that sometimes made upgrading more reasonable. A little more dough to get a lot more tractor. I think I paid only a few thousand more than a CK30 to get a DK40se for example.

I came across this thread since I am shopping both the XJ2025H and CK2510.

Looking at them both side by side at the same dealer yesterday I noticed that the CK2510 is built heavier, than the XJ.

The CK has the machine engine/transmission castings as the tractor backbone, much like a real large tractor.

The XJ uses a welded fabricated frame.

To me thats a big difference.

My quoted prices are $75 cheaper for the CK

A CK2610 is $2000 more but bigger than I need.

I was also concerned with construction style and weight when comparison shopping. I ended up with the XJ2025 and the lack of weight hasn't been a problem, actually its an advantage when when I trailer it. On rare times I need more weight, I can add weights. While not traditional transmission construction, the frame rails have been plenty strong on the LS. However, the CK was a close 2nd for me and it came down to price and extra features, like the standard SSQA on the LS.
