Is there a Napa engine oil filter that would be ok to use on the CK25, if so does anyone have the Napa number.

NAPA 1324 is the oil. They also carry air and fuel but no hydro or HST so I bought all of mine from wallace. NAPA Filters

The Wix Filter equivalent is a #51324. I installed one on my Daedong powered Farmtrac and was happy to see it gives almost a half quart of extra oil capacity due to its larger size. It looks like the size they used to put on cars back in the 70's. It's about 3" or so taller than the Daedong filter it replaces. The hood on my tractor closes with a half inch or so of clearance with the new Wix filter, keep that in mind if it's a tight fit on your side of the hood to filter clearance.

I noticed that the Napa and Wix filters have an anti-drainback valve on them, something the last Kioti filter I bought didn't have.

The factory filter I took off and the new filter I put on both have ADBV. My factory filter is still sitting in the drain pan with a screw holding the valve open. Are you thinking of the HST or hydro filter?

Nope, definitely engine oil. I remember a few others posting about it too. They may have changed the design, this was last fall I noticed it. A horizontally mounted filter should have a drain back valve.

Agreed. I just received a new filter from wallace that had an ADBV. Without it the filter will have to refill every start.

I checked my old filter, a Daedong, it had the AD valve but it was black rubber instead of that orange kind the Wix uses. I didn't notice it until I looked for it. I was thinking without the valve in the filter you would be running a bit low if you check your oil in the morning after it's all drained back into the sump, especially if you are on the low side of the "ok" range.

I just order my CK30hst filters from Wallace's site. I'm sure other dealers in this forum will also ship them but he's the closest for me. I get several of each every time and just put them on my shelf. I've dented my hydro filter like others have and it's nice to have a spare. The price is also comparable.
