I've just started to use our new to us CK25 to clean up 20 acres of sagebrush with a rotary mower. When I came back from mowing, I noticed part of one telescopic sway bar, the part/half that attaches to the bottom of the tractor is missing. The half that attaches to the 3 point hitch is still there. I am not optimistic about finding it on the property.

Is this a generic part that I can purchase anywhere? If not, do I have options besides a dealer? Is there a national dealer that offers discounted prices?

No, there isn't really a source for "discounted" prices. Google Kioti parts and order your parts through one of those sources. They have on-line catalogs that you can look up the part and place an order.

If it's a brand new tractor, makes one wonder if it was properly prepped. I'd at least inquire if my dealer about that.

And, unless they've changed it, the wires on the chains are very weak, and the chains could be a link or two longer. I've since removed the wires, and now use heavier lynch pins. I also added a a couple of inches of chain.

I've had to replace the solid pieces twice (bent them putting backhoe on/off). They are like $30 each shipped to door or something like that, as I recalled. Sounds like you lost the other part. Don't see how that could happen easily, IF properly prepped.

"New to you", congrats! The issue you are having is somewhat normal. KIOTI uses hairpin clips on those pins that keep the links attached to the tractor. This is proper KIOTI equipment for NEW tractors today. If we specifically setup a tractor to bush hog I will replace all hairpin clips with cotter pins. This will resolve your problems. Any KIOTI dealer as I have most if not all those parts in stock.

MT, the pin that hold that U shaped arm(have not lost the arm yet) on the frame is one of the top ten I loose consistantly. I have gone to the "locking" type of hairpin clip but even still loose them when the washer cuts into the clip sawing it in two. I use a HD Box a lot and there is a ton of stress on that joint. I have already decided that my next move is to switch to grade 8 bolts with Nylox nuts.
Anything hairpin on the 3 point should be replaced with your choice of locking clip or bolt, hairpins on the Top Link seem to last forever.

Good post Motorseven! Thanks for sharing your experience; I so hate having to reinvent the wheel if someone can help me prevent stupid struggles that waste time/money. AND I love nylocks- worth the extra cents on everything like this issue.:)
Going to skip the locking hairpins and go straight to nylocks!
