Your photo is the first time that I'm seeing a CK20 with a MMM. Looks good and stout.

Must be their new design for the ROPS on the CK20 I guess.

I've a 60" MMM for mine though it's nothing like his. I'm about a week away from using it for the first time. I keep hearing about problems with it and it's got me a bit bummed. It looks to be quite well built, my deck, I guess the problem lies with the drive pulley or so I've read. I'll let you guys know how it goes for me.

By the way Capnahab, I like your transport box very much. I'm in the market for a trailer to transport firewood in. I'd consider what you have but I've never seen one as nice in my area. Our local TSC has a wire mesh version but nothing as sturdy as yours. Matching paint is also nice.
Regards, Jamie

No its a CK20 - about 2 years old.
The transport box is very versatile. Its supported by 2 sort of fork lift bars underneath and a reinforced bottom . You can reverse up to a pile of eg gravel and get a half box full, then left the whole box up. Its like a small basic fel on the back.
The mmm is 48 inch for manouevring. Works great on a 1.5 acre field. I think the actual mmm is italian manufacture.

Love the box, but that ROPS is unlike any I've seen. When up, it would be curved forward toward the driver. I've never seen any CK20s with anything but a straight ROPS which, when up, leans slightly to the rear. Both the non folding and folding ROPS have been that way on every one.
If anything, I would think the ROPS is on backwards as the curve should probably be facing rearward in case of a rollback in which it would be more supportive than the forward curve.
Oh well, see something new every day. John

John:

I've attached a photo from the brochure I got last year at my dealer. I think that they may only use them overseas.

Come to think of it, I guess I've seen that photo before, but didn't really notice the curved ROPS.
In real life though, I've never seen one. John

John Deere is using the curved ROPS here in states for their small chassis machines. The curved ROPS are needed for the backhoes. I've seen a couple and they look a bit wierd to me. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I have seen photos of the UK version of the CK20. The overseas version does have the curved ROPS. From some photos I have seen, it also has the traditional styled FEL.

The UK version also has (get this KJ) a CUP HOLDER & a side view mirror. Different head lights and seat too.

I swear there is something else that looks "different" about that machine from mine. It may be an optical illusion, but in that first picture it appears slanted backwards and the rear tires look smaller (in relation to the fronts) than mine.

Definitely lets us know how you make out.

Looking at the photo on this page, it does look like the tires are closer in size than on ours. I wonder if they really are?

You may have absolutely no problem with yours. If it's a side discharge, on some of them, they allowed too much of the clippings out the front so you have to clean the prescreen and radiator very often. Some were also rather hard to pin all the way up when not in use. Some of the rear discharge ones wore out belts too quickly, partially because of the too small pully set up. You may not have one of the problem ones. I think they're made some improvement, but I'm not sure about it.

getut Some of the differences in shoppintractors attachment are that it has turfs, a MMM, and no loader bracket on and across the top in front of the dash console. That may be why it looks so different. The newest CK20s coming in now have the cup holder on that left fender. I still haven't checked out how much it's going to cost me to replace mine with that one! John

Interesting Don. Where did you get the photo from?

It is a CK20HST, note the loader control, fuel cell, seat, tire sizes.

What's with the White rims?
