Two issues with my RFM (CK20)...As I'm new to tractoring there is prob. an easy solution to my problem, but I can't figure it out. I'm going to try to describe this, but I may need to take some pics to illustrate. I have two "arms" coming off of my 3ph...one is a stationary arm, the other can be adjusted up and down. I am having to keep my RFM off the ground to mow and the arm coming off the 3ph that is adjustable keeps loosening to the point that the deck is not level on the horizontal. How do I get that arm to tighten up to the point it will not loosen up. There is a bolt to tighten the arm UP to, but not one below the arm.
Same problem with the little sway bars that keep it directly behind the tractor. As your looking at the tractor the sway bar that is on the bottom left that attaches the 3 point arms to the frame will loosen up so the RFM doesn't track directly behind the mower.
Needless to say when they are both out of whack the RFM looks ridiculous when I don't stop every 1/2 hour and tighten them both up.
Is this because I am not allowing the RFM to rest on the ground...I am doing this because I am trying to convert tall grass and weeds to a lawn and I'm not quite there with the yard yet to be able to cut it as low as the highest setting on the RFM.

Please advise...

Thanks.

With what you are describing, That would be my best guess. Could you rent a Brush Hog to get the tall stuff down and then use the RFM? These are designed to be on all 4 wheels and best operation is usually with the 3 point hitch arms on the Kioti RFM to be in the float position and not in the fixed position.--Ken Sweet

In addition to what Ken Sweet said, all tires on the ground, 3pt. in float, you should tighten the nuts on the sway chains and the lift arms. Use a wrench and make sure they're tightened to where you want them. John

Try doing what John said and get those nuts tight.
Mine also kept consatantly coming loose until I finally started getting everything tight. I stick a big flat screwdriver into the loops on the side to hold everything still while I tighten the nuts with a wrench.
They still manage to loosen occasionally, but nothing like every thirty minutes.

Thanks guys...I really cranked on it this weekend and it seems to have held through some pretty tough grating...I appreciate the comments.

Maybe slip a lock washer in between the nut and the turn buckle?

When I first tried to attach my RFM to my 2554 the lift arms would not go low enough to engage the mower. I solved the problem by moving the linkages (left and right) into holes on the lift arms closer to the tractor. This allows the arms to lower further to engage the mower.
