Two issues with my RFM (CK20)...As I'm new to tractoring there is prob. an easy solution to my problem, but I can't figure it out. I'm going to try to describe this, but I may need to take some pics to illustrate. I have two "arms" coming off of my 3ph...one is a stationary arm, the other can be adjusted up and down. I am having to keep my RFM off the ground to mow and the arm coming off the 3ph that is adjustable keeps loosening to the point that the deck is not level on the horizontal. How do I get that arm to tighten up to the point it will not loosen up. There is a bolt to tighten the arm UP to, but not one below the arm.
Same problem with the little sway bars that keep it directly behind the tractor. As your looking at the tractor the sway bar that is on the bottom left that attaches the 3 point arms to the frame will loosen up so the RFM doesn't track directly behind the mower.
Needless to say when they are both out of whack the RFM looks ridiculous when I don't stop every 1/2 hour and tighten them both up.
Is this because I am not allowing the RFM to rest on the ground...I am doing this because I am trying to convert tall grass and weeds to a lawn and I'm not quite there with the yard yet to be able to cut it as low as the highest setting on the RFM.
Please advise...
Thanks.
