CK20 HST -No High Gear

5 yo tractor w/180 hrs. No problems w/high gear in the past but now I cannot move shifter into high no matter what I do w/clutch or engine. Low works fine but sometimes requires synchronizing to engage from neutral. 4x4 linkage bar is missing (on order) but I have it in 4wd all the time anyway. Anyone else experience this?

The 4wd and Range Shift lever share a common linkage point. We have had a few sieze together over time from weathering. Check the range linkage under the left foot board. Take the linkage apart and lubricate it. We have seen where the range shifter won't move properly because it binds with the 4-wd drive shifter, especially if you dont move the 4-wd shifter often enough to keep it freed up.

Also lubricate where the shifter shafts go through the transmission case. They have a tendency to get really difficult to shift if you don't keep that point well lubricated.

you may have to give the end of the linkage a tap with a hammer. you will hear the difference when you tap it once it loosens up.
