CK20 Antifreeze Type

I have a 2006 CK20 HST. The manual says little about the type of antifreeze to be used except to "use the permanent type (PT) for this engine." I currently have Peak All Vehicle Antifreeze + Coolant (PEAK Antifreeze + Coolant - Old World Industries). Will the Peak Antifreeze be okay to use when I change the antifreeze in my tractor?

Whatever you use, make sure it’s diesel rated,…use distilled water instead of tap water. Best not to have unwanted minerals etc in the mix. Buy a few extra gallons of water and flush the system before you make the final mix

You should probably be using an ethylene glycol base antifreeze - the old standby permanent antifreeze. Peak is a brand name. If you don't know what's in the tractor now it's a good time to replace all the antifreeze and the Peak will be fine. Drain and flush with distilled water as Robin suggested then drain again. Refill with a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water. If your antifreeze says ready to use that means it's already been diluted - don't add water to that type.

Thank you. Whether a coolant contains some special type of diesel related additive seems to be debated depending on who you ask. My reading suggests that this additive is only needed in wet liner type engines, and the manual makes no mention of a diesel rated antifreeze/coolant.

This is where my confusion on the proper type of coolant lies.

Kioti doesn't seem to be too concerned about antifreeze. The newer manual from the CK10 says "Fresh clean water with ethylene glycol (50:50)". Can't get much simpler than that.
