CK20 50 Hour Service

I just finished the 50 hour service on my CK20 gear and was just wondering if anyone here had attempted this on their own? I changed all of the fluids except anti-freeze. When you drained your tranny, how much did you get out? The book says 8 gallons, buy I only drained 5 from mine, including filter content. I removed 4 drain plugs, two near axle and two on the tranny. One of those had a big honkin magnet. Is the 8 gallon figure the initial fill and you can't get it all to drain out? Thanks!

How about one of the dealers? Did I miss a drain?

I think you got all of the drain plugs.
According to my shop manual, the transmission oil capacty on a CK20 gear is 5.71 gallons.

Thanks Noland, that makes me feel better. I need to get the owners manual out again, could of sweared it says 8 gallons, but maybe I am looking at the HST section.
