CK 25 gear, injector pump

On the side of the injector pump there is plate with four bolts. Mounted to this plate is 90 degree elbow with a rubber plug that is painted orange, is there supose to oil or something inside. I ask because all other oil filter holes on the tractor are painted orange??

I just had my injector pump out of the engine and removed this side plate during the process. It is an access plate to see the fuel rack inside the injector pump. The housing that this plate is attached to is actually part of your engine block and that plug could be used as a point to fill the engine oil. Most people just use the one on the top of the valve cover because it's easier to get to.

Had the same question,according to what I was told,pump is oiled by motor,and yeah,that orange plug is another place to add motor oil.

Thanks for the information. Does anyone no the cost of a new injector pump for a CK25.

Sorry to say but you are going to probably cry over this one

for a new injector pump.

Mrs. Tractor, well first I'm going to try and see if the Kioti people will stand behind the EPA warranty and replace the pump. Second the tractor is only 3 years old and has only 300 hours on it, these injector pumps should not be failing at 300 hours. Third does anyone no if there are parts available such as the plastic gears inside the pump.

I'm sure there are parts inside that can be replaced. You need a good mechanic sounds to me like.

If you can change out the pump yourself, you're probably better off, money wise, doing that. Labor rates are astronomical, and you end up with a used pump after-all?????

I don't have a problem rebuilding a pump with only 300 hours on it that failed because of some plastic gears. These pumps are no very complicated inside.
