I just purchased a wagon to use with my new team, Nicki and Major. Got it for a very fair price and now I need to figure out whether I should replace all/part/none of the wood or just strip it and replace it. At first glance the paint is multiple layers and peeling, but I don't see much wood rot or soft wood areas.

If I choose to refinish it, what methods and/or tools would you suggest? I have a orbital sander, multi-tool sander/scraper, and a belt sander now. Fortunately, the actual wagon frame is in really good shape, so it is mainly just the wooden sections that need TLC.

Looks to me like it needs scraping, sanding, priming and a brand new paint job!!

Maybe some rims and 22" tires!! LOL
