Is that Polyethylene pipe? If so, I like it much more than the galvanized steel pipes. Looks like it will work well.

Of note, some sort of wild animal has decided to crap on it every few days or so.... what's up with that???

That happens all the time to the 4" or so PVC pipe exhaust from our furnace. Looks like a cat or something. No clue how they back up to it & crap as its to small for anything to fit inside that would leave turds of that size.
