Chroming exhaust pipe?

My wife is wonderin' if the wives of some of you posters haven't got a list of chores that need to be done. She's also figurin' that if there's enough time for all this, that the Christmas shoppin' must be all finished!!!! 

Please be sure and tell the wife that there are indeed a bunch of chores that still need to be done. My wife is juggling them between Christmas shopping sessions. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I did not chrome mine, but I did put a stainless steel one on. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My problem was the original exhaust pipe was to tall to fit in the garage. I did not want to cut it. My brother had a piece of stainless that was the correct diameter,, just needed to be cut and flared. I cut it to the length that I wanted and took it to a local muffler shop to have them flare the end. They did it for free!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks for the pic. Looks good from the little I can see. I want to get it chromed soon but have not decided when and I will have to check into the cost too. I don't want to spend 500 bucks to get this thing chromed.

I have made several polished pipes from some aluminum pipe I had around. I take wheel polish and rub the day lights out of it. It turns out nice. It lasts for several months and then I just polish it up again.
