B3030 - It's for SOLD!!!
Well Santa finally came thru Friday with my new B3030, 60"mmm, LA403 FEL with 60" bucket, new seat to be delivered when they come in, filled rear tires, cover and fender extension kit(both on order). The weather has been kinda soggy over the weekend, so I really haven't had a chance to "play" much with it yet.

Here are some pix.........The first is of the 3030 still on Santa's sleigh, second is Santa backing it off of his sleigh, third is Santa parking it in the shade, fourth is the new 3030 parked next to my BX2230, fifth is bucket comparrisons, and lastly, Santa taking my beloved 2230 back to his workshop.

Thanks for the reply........200+ views and only 1 reply.:( Guess no-one else likes the 3030????

The full folding ROPS was the only way this machine was going to fit into my garage.

Thanks again..........

Y'know, there's something about these pics that seems awfully familiar.........;)
Congratulations on your new "toy"! You are going to have a blast with it. From what little bit I can gather about your property, the 60" MMM was a smart choice over the 72". Just be careful on those slopes...the Big B has a little higher CoG than your "old" BX.

Are you planning to do much digging with the FEL? If so, you might find one of these to be a real necessity:

Probably won't do too much digging this year. We're hoping to break ground sometime next year on a new house....maybe then, but for now, primarily mowing and hogging. Speaking of mowing, have you ever cut tall grass with the 60" mmm in its fully raised position? Any issues? I know the mower manual says not to, but I figured it was for safety reasons...ie exposure to the spinning blades. The manual didn't give any details.

Your thoughts......

Nice new tractor! Enjoy.

And I wish you could send some of that moisture over hear to the other side of the mountains. Your grass looks so lush and green, very nice.
Over here in central MD ours looks more like straw.

Enjoy that new rig, looks awesome! Nice pix!

SkunkWerx:

I know what you mean about the grass looking like straw......up until about 2 weeks ago we had the same problem. We've been getting afternoon downpours.....2 - 4" at a time!! Great for the grass!

Thanks!

I have, on occasion... I wouldn't make a regular habit of it though. The main thing is the safety, yes, but it also puts all the stress on the deck lift arms and linkages... so try to watch your speed in the bumpy areas. If you ever transport the deck at a pretty good clip and have the PC all the way up, you'll notice it bangs up under the tractor when you hit a bump. For that reason, I usually transport with the PC at about 8 instead of 9. Of course that doesn't eliminate the deck from bouncing around on the lift members...

No kidding. I didn't cut the grass this past weekend I converted it into dust.

Taiser:

Wellllll............The BX was mint. I hated to trade her in, but I was ready for a much larger machine. I purchased her in August 2004, and when I traded her last Friday, she had 170, gentle, hours on the clock. I'm one of those wash 'n waxer tractor owners.:D I put her up for sale several months ago and got so so reception. After finding out that I would only have to pay state sales tax on the trade difference, I made the descision to trade her in on the 3030. Saved me about $700.

Well anyhows, it's been raining so much here lately, I haven't been able to get the 3030 out......only has .5 hrs on the clock!

Thanks........
