Choke rod connection

Can someone show me a picture of how the auto choke rod connects to a John Deere e130 lawn tractor? Thanks!

Doesn't look like a choke control. When you move the rod, the carb throttle butterfly moves as well as the wind operated governor control.

A cut and paste from a B&S Manual - does this help ?

@Snuffy77 that rod in your hand connect to the end of that arm just behind your finger in the video. @Richard001 That is actually the choke control with an air operated opening system. The throttle is closer to the front of the engine since on that engine the carb basically faces backwards. Toward the end of the video you can see a screw toward the middle right just above the black part of the intake manifold. that is the idle screw on the throttle shaft.

OK I stand corrected. I my defense, i must admit that I have never seen a choke release operated by a van in the wind. Learn something every day.

Richard not really a choke release as much as a way to open the choke on start up to prevent flooding while the thermistor warms up to keep the choke open.

The Briggs Ready Start and the Kohler auto choke used on the 7000 series use an air vane to open the choke on start up.

Somebody on another forum showed me I had the black plastic piece on the rod backwards. I switched it and it works fine, now.

Hey Snuffy, Could you post the solution as I am dealing with the same issue with my e130. I believe it is controlled by the thermostat arm but it does not seem to sit securely where I placed it.
