I am rebuilding the Front Axle on my Kubota B2910 4WD. A bearing froze up on the spiral bevel gear, and damaged the shaft and scored the axle housing. I'm looking at around $700 in parts from Kubota. I found an Internet supplier which gets its parts directly from China....which is probably where many of Kubota's parts are probably made anyhow. I am waiting for a quote from them.

Has anyone ever used this parts source, and if so, were you satisfied with the service and parts?

I found noting negative about this operation on the BBB or ripoffreport.com, and they have been importing since 1998.

Having purchased a number of new Kubota gears recently, I know
how expensive they are. I looked at the ChinaDepot website and it is
intrigueing. Pls report what you find out.

I sent Chinadepot a detailed e-mail last Friday specifying all the parts I will need. So far, I have not had a response. I can only surmise that they have limited access to these parts, or they have marginal staffing for their web-site.
This, plus the less than stellar reputation of Chinese products, sent me back to the Kubota dealer for my parts order. Even if I might be able to save a hundred bucks or so with this outlet, I question whether it would really be worth it. I only want to have to do this job once. BTW, the bearing that failed and started this whole mess was made in Korea....apparently the Japanese are big into out-sourcing, too.

I think you will find that some Japanese machines use bearings from China,
too. Kubota brags that they have become more competitive with their
standard size OEM bearings, but the big Chinese bearing outlets still beat
them by 50% or more. Sure some poor quality stuff comes from China, but
they are producing some good stuff too. (They need if for their missile
orgram, I am sure.)
