I tried crowning road today with box blade tipped. It seemed to work good, but I'll have to wait until it rains to see how it does.

I use a landscape rake for all of my driveway work. It does a fantastic job of spreading the gravel and when set at an angle maintains the crown. I have not had my blade on in months.

I alternate directions of spread. One pass back and forth I will pull inward and then the next week I will pull outward. It also pulls out the larger rock.

I maintain 2300 feet of driveway this way. About an hour each week.

Oh man, it's not like you're gonna take it on the highway.

I have about 30 feet I need to tow it.

If it didn't work out well for what ever reason, bolts come out easier than welds.

I suppose I wouldn't be left with holes though either if it was welded

I also don't do welding.

I do have to remember though to put the surge brake lock out pin in. Man that boat want budge when the surge brakes engage.

After reading that thread I guess it wouldn't hurt to add a chain loop.

But I ain't gonna hook up the lights

You never know what stupid hands your equipment some day may end up in.
