I"m a fan of my BX2230 since I like steel over plastic but I was looking at a new BX24 today. I noticed a BX2350 sitting next too it and wanted to see all the fine improvements over the BX2230.
One big thing jumped out to me. The ROPS is now shorter than the BX2230 by a good bit. The sales rep said it was to better fit in low garage doors, but it looks more like Kubota is trying to prevent folks doing what I did. Buy a BX2230 and then put an after market BH on it. I can see Kubota trying to force an up sale if you want a BH, since the current BX2350 is now too low to do what I did on the BX2230.
The lower ROPS would annoy me if I was putting a Tuff Top on like I did too. The canopy would be a bit too low.
Other than the lower ROPS and plastic, I really like the new machines.
I wonder what a 2230 with 200 hours and a Woods FEL and BH would fetch me towards a new BX24. I have a 60" deck on the tractor too.
