Checking Hydrostatic/Hydraulic Fluid

I have a Kioti CK3510 hst and I'm wondering when I check the hydro fluid do I need to have the loader up in the air or on the ground and same thing for the 3 point hitch?

All attachments should be down and pressure released.

My jd855 has to be cold or hot fluid shoots out of the dipstick tube.
