Hi All,

Just passing along some preventative maintenance advice. In the last series of storms we had a Leaf Spring break on one side causing the other side to snap as well. Without the Leaf Springs, the Axle walked all the way to the rear of the TC. The only reason it did not completely 'leave' the unit was the drop in the frame at the rear held the Axle after 'eating' the rear lights, etc. After a major production getting the unit on a trailer, we realized that one of the 'leafs' on one side had been broken and the two 'ends' had been rubbing. Had we noticed the problem before the second side broke, I would have been back in service quickly with almost $4,000 still in my pocket.

Are you talking about the springs around the shocks?

Mel,

No, I'm referencing the 'leaf' springs at the rear axle. My units are "B" series. Possibly the suspension on the C's and D's are different...
