A little pro-active maintenance info, from my experience.

Noticed some play in the swing of the backhoe on my T9. Thought it was wear, but then I that the mounting plates for the backhow were moving. There are four large bolts, two on each side that secure the mouning plates for the backhoe to the body. All four of these bolts were slightly loose, just enough for the plates to move. There were no lock washers on these bolts, just some paint. I removed the paint, unscrewed the bolts one at a time, added lock washers and some Locktite before torquing them down.

You might want to check yours.

A small correction to what I originally said. The nuts on these bolts are actually lock nuts. However, they are subject to oil and grease and that may be why the still backed off. Of course, working the backhoe hard may also have something to do with it. I have been digging out 18 twenty five foot dead pine trees. Amazing what this little thing can do. I can even lift the whole tree on my bucket forks and drive it to the dump area.

You may need to take the bolts closest to the backhoe off to get a breaker bar and socket in to work on the inner bolts.
