That car is PCP. Plum Crazy Purple, and of course I love it. What was the original post about?

Hey, the bucket is being used as a wing and is actually lightening the load at highway speeds which will take weight off the otherwise overloaded tongue and rear suspension. The guy must be an aeronautical engineer.

Left light is out, right one is working. Look through the cars windows.
I think what you saw was the shift light on a 5" automeater tach ;-)
sorry just had to throw that in there sense we're talking about the car so much

I'm no engineer, but I do see spoilers on cars that supposedly create down force. Please clarify.:)

Chris,

I'm guessing trailer lighting laws vary across states.

I don't know where the photo was taken, but the F-150 guy would be legal in NC (I think).

On every trailer, semi trailer or pole trailer weighing 4,000 pounds
gross or less:
(a) On the rear, two (2) reflectors, one (1) on each side. If any
trailer or semi trailer is so loaded or is of such dimensions as
to obscure the stop light on the towing vehicle, then such
vehicle shall also be equipped with one (1) stop light.

Edit. I just caught the fact that the law doesn't say anything about whether the trailer's stop light has to work.:)

Around here that would pass also. I was just making a joke since it was a cop sitting right behind him. The cops I know say if it otherwise in good condition, looks safe, and is obeying all laws they let trailers go on lots of things like lights. My experience with cops is they are fair and reasonable unless you P them off.

What a idiot. All it would take is driving though a big dip to dent the top of the SUV with the loader. Plus its top heavy like that, easy to roll. Overloaded part is pretty obvious.

If that Challenger is a cop he is slacking. The F-150 in front of him is pulling a trailer with no working break lights. He should be on his cell calling in a on duty officer to take care of both these truckers!

Chris

Since this picture is being disected....the F-150 is actually a Silverado:)

That 4Runner is rated for 5000 pounds. My old '95 (3500 lb) used to sit nose-light when a trailer was attached, but functioned very well in that attitude. Its attitude could be a characteristic of the suspension, rather than evidence that the trailer's tongue-heavy.

The trailer looks pretty light for the load, though.

Thats true, my highlander 01 mdel is very light up front with a small 4x8 lightly medium loaded. It has a 2500lb rating as well.

My guess is that the trailer axle is over loaded and he is prolly over the 350 or 500lb hitch tounge weight rating.
