Check before buying!

Prior to making a new or used tractor purchase, make sure a reputable dealer is near. Otherwise you meet be hard pressed to find a good dealer or part availability.
Ex: was considering a 32hp Cub Cadet with 5hrs and several attachments at a local New Holland dealer. In this forum I read several articles about the tractor having hydro problems, and part availability issues. So I Googled for a CC dealer. Within a 75mi radius all I could find is lawn mower dealers such as Lowes. Even the Googled CC compact repair centers did not stock any parts except for lawn mowers.

Even proximity to a good dealer isn't a guarantee; as my tractor hits its one-year birthday, I find that the dealer that was 2.5 miles away was sold to a chain that didn't want to deal with tractors; now it's nearly 50 miles to the closest dealer.
