Cheapo sprayer fix

My favorite Chapin 2 gallon sprayer began leaking air through the top because the gasket tore. Priced a five inch O-ring online...about $5 with shipping. Who doesn't have some empty 5 gallon pails with lids? Pulled the gasket out of one and cut it to be a snug fit in the sprayer top and used a little silicone caulk to keep the cut edges from leaking. It's bit too thick, and not black like the original was, but it works great !!

Looks good to me! No sense in paying good money for something like that when you can make for basically free with stuff you have sitting around.
