I have a 2006 massey 533. I am looking at changing all the filters out before I start alot of work this month. my dealer quoted me 167 for the outer air filter, the oil filter, power steering filter, and fuel filter. that seems like alot of money to me for 4 filters. I am sure atleast some of these are available at the auto parts store, if not all of them. the manual provides no numbers, and my tractor is 100 miles away in my barn. does anyone have cross reference numbers, or a cheaper source of filters for this tractor. thanks in advance

NAPA can cross reference most filters for you. Sometimes they are cheaper and sometimes not. My MF dealer is very competitive with them. The outer air filter is most likely the most expensive by far. The last one I purchased was well over $100. I generally use compressed air and blow them out and replace at about 1000 hrs. I think that is what the owners manual calls for. Extremely dusty conditions could shorten the life though.

One tip. Save the filter numbers off the boxes after you buy the filters. Sometimes it is much easier for someone to cross reference filter numbers than find your tractor in a reference book.

I've been able to get my filters at Napa for about half of what the dealers charge. With three tractors,a dump truck and several vehicles, it's also allot easier to just go to Napa and get everything I need at one place.
